Building a Foundation in Kindergarten Through 8th Grade

As an accredited school, our academic program is under constant review to ensure that every student is receiving excellence in education. In lower elementary school, our goal is to give students a solid foundation in the core subjects of math, language arts, reading, writing, social studies, and science. We do this through a combination of personalized instruction, guided exploration, and hands-on learning.

In upper elementary school, our goal is to give students the tools they need to succeed in high school and beyond. Teachers strive to cultivate strong study habits, independent learning, and research skills in addition to our core classes.

Most importantly, all academics are taught from a Christian perspective and based on the truths of God’s Word. At Emmaus, all our classrooms are guided by His love and truth, whether it’s in our teaching or in our interactions with others.

During the course of the school year, students play competitive football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and track & field. Along the way, coaches foster foundational knowledge of the game, as well as skills development. Most importantly, players develop character traits like persistence, discipline, and teamwork and are encouraged to use all their gifts to God’s glory.

During the course of the school year, students take part in children’s choir, hand chimes, spelling bee, Veterans’ Day celebration, and Entertainment Night. We celebrate and support each student’s God-given gifts and abilities at Emmaus!
